"Enter into children's play, and you will find the place where their minds, hearts, and souls meet." — Virginia Axline, Psychologist and pioneer in Play Therapy

I am a play therapist who loves working with kids and teens through a variety of challenges.

I specialize in:

• Child Centered Play Therapy
• Prescriptive Play Therapy
• Mindfulness
• Emotional Regulation
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Big Life Transitions

My Approach

Approach With Kids 5-12: When I work with children, my goal is to understand the world as they see it, then to help them express emotions effectively and work through any challenges they experience. Traditional talk therapy doesn't work well with children because dialogue is not how they express themselves. Play is not just crucial to children's development--play is the language of their heart. I have extensive training in Play Therapy methods and use a non-directive style that allows space for kids to play and show me the world through their eyes. Play is your child's most natural form of expression & with me, your child or teen is free to explore, heal, and grow in a safe environment. I love to partner with parents and we will learn together how to play our way toward healing, connection, and growth.

Approach With Adult Clients: “Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying I will try again tomorrow”- Mary Anne Ramacher. With my adult clients, I draw on CBT, mindfulness, and DBT methods to support that voice, however loud or quiet. Being in therapy is like building a toolbox for your inner life– we’ll find out what tools you need, add them to the box, and learn how to use the ones you need in this season. The toolbox we’ll build together is one you can take with you into and use throughout your life.

Approach with Teen Clients: I first ensure my clients feel safe and heard, so we can make therapy something useful to you. I want to help you see the world as more than black and white. We can learn to walk a middle path and build a toolkit to assist you in reaching your goals and acknowledging your strengths. Let’s emphasize the courage inside, I look forward to hearing from you soon.
