Psychotherapist

I am an Asian-Latina therapist and I love to work with adults and couples, especially anxious women, new moms & new dads, and adults facing loneliness and isolation.

My clients and I work together on things like:

  • managing ADD/ADHD

  • infertility

  • pregnancy issues and postpartum depression/anxiety

  • workplace and career issues

  • redefining your identity after a life transition

  • reducing anxiety

  • recovering from people-pleasing

  • exploring culture and ethnicity

  • healing from race-related trauma

I combine approaches like CBT and DBT and boundary creation with a trauma-informed lens. In my work with couples, I use the Gottman Method to implement interventions to manage conflict, find resolution, clearly and gently communicate, compromise, and build rituals of emotional and physical connection.

My Approach

I believe that it doesn’t have to be like this.  Healing and change are possible.

In my work with couples and individuals, I’ll start off by hearing your story and walking you through a set of questions to understand your symptoms and therapy goals.  Depending on your goals, I will suggest the best treatment approach, drawing from Gottman Method couples therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), boundary-creation work, trauma recovery, or ADHD management.   My clients often see significant improvement within two months of starting therapy, though many are also looking for longer-term support.

I am part of the team at Cultivate Therapy and we want to make it easy to start therapy.  I offer in-person sessions at our Jersey City office (right by the Journal Square PATH) and provide telehealth sessions for clients living in NYC, NY, and NJ. I have daytime and evening appointments. Call, text, or email me anytime.  I look forward to hearing from you soon.

My training has included earning my Masters in Social Work from New York University, obtaining my professional license in New York and New Jersey, completing a certificate program in Perinatal Mental Health with Postpartum Support International, and obtaining advanced training in the Gottman Method, an evidence-based approach to couples therapy.
